Disclosure: We partnered with Denny’s. All thoughts are my own.
When I got home last week from Family Forward, I didn’t want to do anything except veg out on my couch. And guess what? I did and didn’t feel guilty about it either. Not one wasted ounce of guilt. Since I wasn’t up for cooking, we voted for Denny’s! It was the diner to go to after work with friends, when I had early morning prenatal appointments, for lunch when I was in college… Good, good memories! Sometimes you need a restaurant to be an old friend, reliable and always there.
When we got to Denny’s, we found out that September is No Kid Hungry Month. Childhood hunger is a big deal to us, no child should ever be without food. If you donate $3 from now till October 31st at any of the 1200 participating Denny’s to the Share Our Strength’s “No Kid Hungry” program you will receive up to a $9 value on Denny’s diner favorites. Additionally, for every “Build Your Own Omelette” purchased from September 9 through September 15, America’s Egg Farmers will donate one egg on behalf of Denny’s guests to a “No Kid Hungry” partner to help alleviate childhood hunger in America. So, don’t cook tonight or tomorrow and dine out!
My boy is missing teeth and when he saw the kid in his menu missing his teeth too, he thought it was funny!
Old enough to color!
This new menu offering caught my eye – Prime Rib Cobb Salad looks sooo good!!!
I was trying to look at the smoothie but hubby was looking at that shake!
My mom always pushed breakfast on me even though I was never hungry at 7am! Breakfast is important, kids!
Read Austin’s story and learn about why No Kid Hungry is important to support.
This is the Chocolate Peanut Butter Milk Shake. It tastes exactly like it sounds. My husband could’ve gone for another one!
Duke’s Inside Out Grilled Cheese. I’m surprised he finished it all!
Another new menu offering – Sirloin Steak with Red-Skinned Potatoes and Fresh Sautéed Zucchini & Squash. This is what I ordered and it was the yums. Chris and the littles kept picking the potatoes off my plate!
I always order Slow-Cooked Pot Roast and Chris usually eats half of it but he wanted it all during this Denny’s trip!
$2 Pancake Puppies® Sundae for dessert! We usually pass but we had lingering vacation hunger and went for it!
