Last year we did Medieval Times for my son Damien’s 14th Birthday and it was the best time. Where else can you go and scream your head off at dinner? I always rank things by my kids having a good time and if Chris and I had a good time. If all those things align and all six of us agree on the same thing then trust me, it was a good time. I have been itching to hang out with some local girlfriends but you know it’s hard for mamas to get together because, kids. Any chance you get to go out without the kids basically has to be one for the books… I pitched a fun girls night out to Medieval Times, Girls Knight Out was suggested and we were all over it – oh so cute!
Our girls knight out came and went too quickly. We agree that one night out is necessary at least once a month! Sharing my tips to insure a memorable night out with friends!
- Do something fun! The reality is you might not see a girls night out for weeks, months even so do something fun! Set aside $5 a week and search for deals online!
- Be cute! I’ll admit, there are times I go out with my family and I don’t want to waste my makeup so I don’t even bother getting cute but when it’s time out with girlfriends – you gotta look cute!
- Let your mom guard down! I’m not saying go crazy but go ahead and cuss, say bad jokes… (At Medieval Times, cheer for your knight and boo at the other ones!)
- Enjoy yourself! Easier said than done right? You, of all people, deserve a few hours away from the kids! Just have fun!
First things first, drinks!
Baby Dragon, the other white meat!
The clang of the swords is magical but nothing is as exciting as seeing the sparks fly!
Our knight representing Red & Yellow made us all proud!
It was Elizabeth (she’s the one in focus) & Julie’s first time
Our knight won!
All of us agree that Medieval Times is the perfect girls night out – good food and full of action! Not only queens in our castles but that fun one on Beach Blvd. in Buena Park!
