I was invited to dinner a couple weeks ago to check out a cool new app called Superb – created by the founders of GrubWithUs. I’m gonna go ahead and say it, the appeal to me of Superb was that it looked like Instagram (Rachael of glassofwin.com also attended dinner and brought up an interesting question about Instagram, read her post here) and Foursquare had a baby. A very cool baby at that. The new social networking app lets you share your favorite spots, browse places others find exciting and connects you with your friends that share a mutual desire to go out and experience these places. I only peeked at Superb over dinner so this is not a review but rather an announcement about the launch today which is available worldwide in the App Store. It is currently only available on iOS and I’m an Android user. I did pester co-founder Daishin Sugano over dinner about getting it out on Android because I can see myself using the app daily. Especially when I travel. Superb is hip, looks clean and is simple. I have a feeling this is going to take social networking to that next level – I need it now!
My first time trying a Pisco Sour.

From restaurants to street art, live music venues to hiking trails, Superb elevates user-generated content based on overall community popularity. If you are looking for a specific place or want to browse by an interest, simply search or tap on a category to do so.
Swipe right to mark places to do, swipe left to mark places you are not interested in and tap the center button to mark that you’ve already been to a place. If you are interested in a place, Superb unveils others who are also interested, highlighting your friends at the top for quick access to message them through the Superb Conversation feature.
