Time For A Huggies Little Swimmers Pool Party Playdate

Huggies Pool Party Playdate : raisedbyculture.com #LittleSwimmers

If I had a superpower, it would be the power to stop time.  Time is just flying by and in 10 days, my last child will be 2 years old!  I want to enjoy my little Omie being a baby a little longer.  A few years ago, I made a conscious effort to spend more one on one time with each of my sons.  They are completely different people when alone with me.  Aside from the obvious, no fighting… we have good conversation and laughs.  The invite for the Huggies Pool Party Playdate came at a perfect time.  I was out of town a couple weeks ago for business and when I got home a couple days later, Omie was a stage five clinger.  We both needed mommy & baby time!!!

The pool party playdate was in Santa Monica at the Annenberg Community Beach House, about a 40 minute drive for us without traffic.  We left two hours early and got there in 36 minutes.  That thing about time I was talking about earlier, it’s funny sometimes.  We cruised PCH and picked up some food & drinks at a grocery store so Chris & Duke could picnic on the beach for their own little daddy & son playdate.  I knew the day was going to be awesome for all of us.

Our playdate started with the littles enjoying toys on the playmat and us blogger mamas ohhing and ahhing over the incredible party decor by the Hostess with the Mostess.  After mingling and changing my boy in the open space thanks to the only swim pant with easy open sides, we headed to the pool for Omie’s first swim lesson.  The minute Omie saw the pool he wanted to jump in.  Silly baby!  The pool was warm even though the temps were in the 60s, we loved every minute in the water.  I really loved how the swim instructor let us introduce ourselves and our little swimmers and then sang songs to get them comfy.  Then it was moving arms and kicking feet.  None of which seemed like work!  We had the best time ever and I was so emo at the special time we got to have together.

Seeing all these adorable pictures makes me sad that my baby isn’t a baby anymore. I remember playing with him in the pool just like that. Maybe I need another one. What a fun party.
