Food Halls are what’s hot. I honestly had to see Anaheim Packing House for myself to get it. The concept is awesome. A big, open space filled with mini restaurants and communal dining areas. The building and its merchants are gorgeously designed and thoughtful. There is a good vibe created by the synergy. My love of food in Anaheim was limited to Cortina’s, Tacos San Pedro, Matiki Island Barbecue. There just wasn’t anything new, options were chain restaurants and I wasn’t a fan. Inspired by the new restaurants sprouting up in Anaheim, I am introducing my new series – Eat Anaheim. The mission – trying every restaurant at Packing District and beyond!
My tips: If you can go on a weekday before noon, go. Parking was easy at that time. Found a table quick and the lines were moving. Follow all the merchants on Instagram. The best part is vegging out in Farmers Park after you grub! And there’s a speakeasy.
Anaheim Packing District is comprised of Packard Building (home to Anaheim Brewery and Umami Burger), Farmers Park (home to Farmers Park Market on Sundays 10am-2pm) and Packing House (the main food hall – open daily at 10:30am)

Boxed water is intriguing. The kids got grilled cheese sandwiches from Black Sheep GCB (Grilled Cheese Bar) – I don’t really care for grilled cheese sandwiches but this one blew me away. I’ve been thinking about it ever since. Oh, the kids liked it too!
My fish & chips from The Chippy. OMG. SO GOOD and satisfied my months on months on months craving.
