I work entirely too hard to slave over a hot stove in this heat. I’m about that working smarter not harder life. This is why we’re eating out this summer. Look I’m not trying to spend $6 for a kids meal. Ever.
We have that deal memorized and you know where you can find us!
The cool thing is, not all Denny’s look the same. The one at 7 East Huntington Drive in Arcadia has a windmill. The last of its kind. Built in 1967 when it was a Van de Kamp Holland Dutch Bakery coffee shop, the windmill stopped spinning sometime in 1989 when Denny’s purchased the location. That is until June 2016 after months of restoration and $100,000! We took the kids out for a stroll on Route 66 for a fun dinner and to check out a piece of California history. And now we’re a part of history.
Denny’s CEO John C. Miller came out to celebrate the restored windmill. It was awesome.
Major key: Relax one night a week + let Denny’s do the cooking. Not worrying about cooking but still getting to eat together is self-care. Not worrying about spending too much is self-care. Not having to worry about everyone each wanting something different to eat is self-care. Breakfast for dinner. It’s all good.
The details: Guests can receive a free kids meal for one child aged 10 and under with the purchase of each adult entrée of $2.50 or more. The offer is available on Tuesdays at participating locations from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., menu items and prices may vary.
Steak and potatoes for this mama!
Major key alert: Denny’s has FREE WIFI too. Get your PokemonGO on. Or download the free DreamWorks COLOR app. That app has provided hours of laughter when we made one of Duke’s drawings come to life and took pictures with Omie. He screamed he was so freaked out.
Happy wife = happy life. Having happy kids helps too. Make it a night out. You deserve it.
