I love Southern California. I’m always saying it on here and very vocal on my social networks. My pride runs deep and I always show love to the places I genuinely adore which makes me so excited to share that the renovation of Brea Mall is finally complete! The mall was last updated in the 90s and never had identifying signs – do you remember seeing “Foodworks” on the outside – that was actually the name of their food court, that’s gone. There are now four redesigned entryways that proudly boast “Brea Mall” complete with LED lighting that changes with the holidays.
I was invited to dinner a couple weeks ago to check out a cool new app called Superb – created by the founders of GrubWithUs. I’m gonna go ahead and say it, the appeal to me of Superb was that it looked like Instagram (Rachael of glassofwin.com also attended dinner and brought up an interesting question about Instagram, read her post here) and Foursquare had a baby. A very cool baby at that. The new social networking app lets you share your favorite spots, browse places others find exciting and connects you with your friends that share a mutual desire to go out and experience these places. I only peeked at Superb over dinner so this is not a review but rather an announcement about the launch today which is available worldwide in the App Store. It is currently only available on iOS and I’m an Android user. I did pester co-founder Daishin Sugano over dinner about getting it out on Android because I can see myself using the app daily. Especially when I travel. Superb is hip, looks clean and is simple. I have a feeling this is going to take social networking to that next level – I need it now!
I get a lot of crappy emails but then there are days that’s like Christmas morning… like the one time I got an email inviting me to a Honda launch event in San Diego. First, I never say no to San Diego. That is one of my cardinal rules and really, it should be the general rule for everyone. And hello, Honda! Being a teenager in Long Beach in the 90s – all the cool kids had Honda Civics or Accords. It was the car to have for your first car. My husband’s first car was a passed down Honda Accord and we would’ve kept it if we didn’t need more room for our growing family. It was so good to us for being 18 years old and it was still a looker! I was sold on Honda looks, price and safety years ago so it was interesting to get a sneak peek at their newest launch.
I could give you all the specs copied and pasted from press releases but I’m going to tell you what I loved about the all new 2015 Honda Fit and how it fits me and my teenagers.
